After reading your Swiffer warning I decided to test for myself.  Rubbing a Swiffer on my skin caused only minor irritation (avoid the eyes though!), and ingesting a small square doesn't seem to have caused any... gettin sleepy... need wate...

Here's where your paid endorsement deal goes sour  -  a very credible sounding urban legend reqarding swiffers and the health of pets will soon morph and devour the Flik. Also: Do I really wait on a waiting list, or am i in this thing now?

I've seen the Swiffer legend, and it seems that it's the chemicals that soak the Swiffer pads that can be harmful to pets and babies, when exposed in high quantities.  I usually wait until the babies are not around to Swiffer, and don't let them...

I would have assumed that the Swiffer is coated in parafin, similar to the California Car Duster. I guess I'm wrong in assuming.

When my brother and I were kids we often had more fun with the box that the toy can in than the toy itself. This picture kind of reminds me of that.

No, not on floors, just carpet.  Hopefully the great scientific minds at Swiffer are hard at work on a Flik for hardwoods...

My Grammy had a baking unit that slid out from under the counter, leaving a "cave" to play in.  But the two "drawers of mystery items" seem to be a pretty good facsimile.

i love swiffers, (dave, they work on static-cling) but you're right - it's only so effective... i felt just as giddy when i tried the Magic Erasers (in fact, i think you recommended it, rosemary!?) - imo, those are in the same category of coolness as...

Since they didn't have any kids of their own, I think they just got a kick out of me. Once I was inside, Betty and I would make crafts and talk for hours while Ozzie watched sports on t.v.

I would think Murphy would be all over that!  Yes, I think the babies are more interested in the cat door than the cats are.  Oscar usually whines until someone picks her up and puts her out there.  Of course she only has three legs, so...
